Missed a Foundayo dose? Here is what to do

Daily pill — simpler rules than weekly injections

Foundayo is a daily pill, which makes the missed-dose rules simpler than weekly injections. If you remember the same day, take it. If you do not remember until the next day, skip the missed dose and take your regular dose at the normal time. Never take two pills in one day to make up for a missed dose.

In simple terms:
  • Remember same day: take it as soon as you remember
  • Next day: skip the missed dose, take your regular dose at normal time
  • Never take two pills in one day
  • Missing one daily dose matters less than missing a weekly injection
  • Set a daily alarm — same time each day builds the habit
  • If you miss several days, resume at your normal dose (no re-titration needed for short gaps)

The rules

Three scenarios, three clear answers.

Same day
Take it now

If you remember at any point during the same day, take the pill. There are no food-timing restrictions, so you can take it with or without food at any time.

Next day
Skip it, take today's dose

Do not double up. Take your regular dose at your normal time. One missed day has minimal impact because orforglipron has a half-life that provides some carry-over.

Missed several days
Just resume at your normal dose

Unlike weekly injections, short gaps on a daily pill rarely need re-titration. If you have missed a week or more, contact your prescriber to be safe.

Decision flow

Step through this to figure out what to do right now.

1
When did you realise you missed it?
Same day or next day?

The answer determines your next step.

2
Is it still the same day?
Yes → take it now

Take the pill immediately. No food timing restrictions, so you can take it any time. Resume your normal schedule tomorrow.

3
Is it the next day?
Skip yesterday's → take today's normal dose

Do not take two pills. Just take your regular dose at your regular time.

Never double-dose
Whether you are on a weekly injection or a daily pill, taking two doses to make up for one missed dose increases the risk of severe nausea, vomiting, and — if you also take insulin or sulfonylureas — dangerously low blood sugar. One missed dose is always better than a double dose.
