Do not take this drug if you are pregnant or could become pregnant — topiramate causes serious birth defects (cleft palate). Two forms of contraception are required. A monthly pregnancy test is part of the FDA safety programme.
This drug can increase heart rate. Your doctor should monitor pulse at each visit.
Topiramate can cause a build-up of acid in the blood and kidney stones with long-term use.

How to take Qsymia
Take one capsule every morning — do not take in the afternoon or evening (may cause insomnia)
